Wolverhampton Wanderers are waiting on Daniel Podence ahead of Saturday’s clash with Liverpool. The Portuguese winger has missed Wolves’ last two matches after testing positive for Covid-19 and a decision will be made on whether he can join the squad tomorrow. Ruben Neves is free to return though having served his one-game suspension after collecting five yellow cards. Giving his latest fitness bulletin,
Bruno Lage said: “Everything is normal. We have Ruben back, that’s the big news. Let’s see if Podence can join us tomorrow.”
In addition to Podence and Marcal, Lage will be without Willy Boly, Yerson Mosquera, Jonny Castro Otto and Pedro Neto against the Reds.
Bruno Lage added: “When you look at our bench in the last game, we don’t have too many solutions. We try to manage the game in a different way. Usually I finish the games with three midfielders but we couldn’t because Ruben was out. It’s a good challenge for us, I’m not making excuses. My job is to find solutions.”
