Battling Wimbledon scrambled a point with a last minute equalizer after Wednesday seemed to be heading to be heading for only their second win of the season. The Hillsborough side turned in a nightmare performance before Ryan Jones gave them a 2-1 lead with six minutes to go. Wimbledon, without five first team players, refused to give up and Vinny Jones captured the point the point, heading in at the near post in the dying seconds.
Wednesday snatched the lead in the ninth minute, Carlton Parmer picking up Bright who was brought down by Brian Mcallister but Chris Waddle nipped in to fire past Hand Segers from eight yards. Wimbledon hit back a minute after the interval through Gary Blissett.
