MARIO Lemina is among the names of players that Michael Obafemi named as ‘taking him under their wing’ during his Saints spell, insisting: “There’s too many to say, I’m thankful for them all.” The 21-year-old joined Saints in 2016 from Leyton Orient, and progressed through the academy before making his first-team debut during the 2017-18 season. The promising forward became the second-ever youngest player to represent Saints when he was handed his professional debut by then-boss Mauricio Pellegrino against Tottenham in January 2018. Speaking to the Swansea website, he said: “To be honest, near enough all the lads took me under their wing. “Nathan Redmond Ryan Bertrand, Mario Lemina, Shane long. “There’s just too many to say. I’m thankful for all the players that helped me along my way. “I’ll still keep on contact with them of course and I know they will be supporting me in my move.”
