NATHAN Tella insists Saints are “not looking too much” at their increasingly precarious league position, despite a run of just two points from their past five matches. Asked if this has become a massive week for the club,
Nathan Tella said: “All weeks are massive. We don’t want to change our approach for every game. But we know what we’ve got to go out and do and react on Wednesday.”
Quizzed on if there was a worry about being dragged towards the bottom three,
Nathan Tella added: “We’re not looking too much into that. Of course we know what happens when we don’t pick up results, but then as a team we’ve got to focus on what we can do and try and change our results.”
Saints could be without a host of players for tomorrow’s trip to the capital. Alex McCarthy, Fraser Forster, Stuart Armstrong and Che Adams are all definitely ruled out, while Adam Armstrong and Armando Broja are doubts after limping off against Arsenal.
Nathan Tella said: “We obviously don’t know the extent of the injuries at the moment, but we’ve got enough players in the team that can come in and do a job. That’s what the manager wants, to have strength in depth. Now we’ve got enough players, we’ll see that.”
