As Aston Villa was set to take on Nottingham Forest in a crucial match against for the title, their manager Ron Atkinson was delighted to have both of his supreme strikers fit and raring to go for the crucial run-in for the title.

Ron Atkinson said “They looked the best strike force in the country and if Dalian had maintained his fitness I reckon he would have been with England this week. If he can rediscover his form it would be like signing a magnificent player for the championship run-in.”

With Manchester United and Norwich playing against each other, a win would have put Villa clear on the top and the title’s destiny in their own hands with just seven games to go.
