Graham Potter has confirmed that Yves Bissouma will be in the matchday squad on Monday night match versus Crystal Palace. The Malian midfielder sustained a knee injury against Leicester but was “desperate” to continue, which he did with the blessing of Albion’s medical staff. Bissouma was withdrawn with ten minutes to go in place of Enock Mwepu as a precaution. Bissouma will be back in the squad on Monday. Albion boss Potter hinted before the Swansea match that he was hopeful that Bissouma would be involved against Palace and confirmed that the situation is the same today.
Graham Potter said: “Probably the same [situation] but we will see how he is and hopefully he can train on Saturday.”
Meanwhile, Potter said that Pascal Gross and Tariq Lamptey will be back in the squad for Palace on Monday, but will be assessed over the weekend.
Graham Potter said: “We’re delighted with his 45 minutes against Swansea last night and we’re delighted that he came through that well. He looked good and strong, but it’s another step for him [to be starting a PL game].
Potter added that Gross’ situation is different to Tariq Lamptey but said he came through last night with no problem.
Graham Potter said: “He’s somebody we will monitor over the next couple of days and then we will see how he is on Saturday and then work out what his involvement will be, but he will be back in the squad [for Palace].
Potter confirmed that Webster will not be back for Monday, with his return looking more likely after the international break. While Alexis MacAllister will train on Saturday after a “sore” knee to the back last night, and Mwepu will be given time to rest to see how his groin is.
