Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey has already given his verdict on a potential move to Tottenham amid fresh transfer claims this summer. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are keen to move the Welshman on two years after he arrived in Serie A on a free transfer from Spurs’ north London rivals Arsenal. It is reported elsewhere that the Italian giants have not yet received an offer but would accept €10million (£8.5million) for the midfielder this summer. Spurs are reportedly admirers and could potentially grant him a return to the Premier League. Whilst Spurs are interested, if Ramsey’s previous comments are anything to go by, the feeling would not be reciprocated. Asked if he would consider signing for Spurs at some point in his career, the Welshman produced a short and sweet “no”.
Aaron Ramsey said: “I’m not thinking about anything else apart from playing for Arsenal at the moment so we will see what the future holds further down the line. I’m going out and playing the way I have always played. I try to give my best for the team, help the team and try and go out there and play the best I can for myself as well. Nothing’s in my head when I’m out there, I’m just trying to have fun on the football pitch.”
Despite his previous success in north London with Arsenal, where he claimed three FA Cup winners medals, life hasn’t quite been as rosy for Ramsey in Turin. He has made just 65 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions since his arrival in 2019 – with only 33 of those being starts. Ramsey has two years remaining on his current contract in Italy.
