Ruben Loftus-Cheek is back at Chelsea following a season-long loan spell with Fulham. The midfielder, who enjoyed a breakthrough campaign under former Blues head coach Maurizio Sarri in 2018/19 prior to suffering an Achilles injury, featured in the Blues’ 6-1 friendly win over Peterborough United on Saturday afternoon. With an hourglass emoji accompanying a post on an Instagram Story, Loftus-Cheek penned a rather cryptic message.
Ruben Loftus Cheek wrote: “Everything done in the dark gon’ come to light . Tryna choose your thoughts over your feelings, that’s the hardest. Had to prove ’em wrong, they said my dreams was out of sight. Now it’s 50k up in my jeans on chartered flights and we rock the hardest ice. Holding back.”
Could Loftus-Cheek be hinting at leaving the Blues once again this summer?
Well, his message comes after Thomas Tuchel’s ‘transfer decision’ as the Daily Express have reported that the midfielder could be a part of the German tactician’s plan to raise funds via player sales. The report states that Loftus-Cheek along with Ross Barkley, Davide Zappacosta and Tiemoue Bakayoko are among the more valuable assets being made available for a permanent transfer by Tuchel.
