The future of former Wolverhampton Wanderers loan star Vitinha remains up in the air. Wolves didn’t exercise their option to purchase Vitinha for €20million after his loan deal expired and he returned to Porto, where he’s since started pre-season training.
Rui Silva said: “Vitinha had enormous competition: Moutinho, Neves, Dendoncker. But he has evolved and is ready for the next level, which is to be able to play more regularly. I think he should opt for a project that allows him to play more. It’s the game that guarantees you evolution.”
Silva hasn’t yet linked up with Nuno at new club Tottenham Hotspur, with Ian Cathro, Antonio Dias and goalkeeping coach Rui Barbosa the only members of his usual backroom team confirmed arrivals in north London.
