Slavisa Jokanovic has provided an update on the key players who missed Sheffield United’s friendly victory over Europa Point yesterday. The Blades boss watched his side run out comfortable 3-0 winners courtesy of goals from John Egan, Lys Mousset and Tyler Smith in a behind-closed-doors match. However, not all those who have travelled to their training camp in Spain featured in the match. Jokanovic made 12 changes in the second half as he gave the majority of his squad a run-out in the first friendly fixture of his reign as manager.
Slavisa Jokanovic said: “They are with us (Sharp, McBurnie and Burke), they are still working with the medical and physical department. I expect Billy Sharp will be first to start working with us but we need to be patient for my staff to complete their work with these players. Sander has a small, minor problem and will be sorted soon. Michael is here in the group, he is with the players with a minor problem and will be sorted soon. He cannot participate now.”
