Slavisa Jokanovic was full of praise for Rhys Norrington-Davies after the Wales international caught the eye in yesterday’s 3-0 victory over Europa Point. The 22-year-old was handed a starting place at left wing-back and was one of United’s better players.
Slavisa Jokanovic said: “He took the decision to cut his vacation and come with the team and, of course, I accept it. Like a lot of the players, he showed commitment, he showed he is hungry and he impressed. He did very well for only one friendly match in pre-season.”
Norrington-Davies spent last season on loan at Luton and Stoke, a spell that led to him being called up for international duty by Ryan Giggs. His stock has certainly risen over the last 12 months having enjoyed the best year of his career. He is yet to make his first team debut for United, but that looks set to change this season.
