Manuel Neuer has admitted Germany are cautious of the threat Jordan Pickford’s distribution could be for England on Tuesday night. The Everton goalkeeper has impressed so far at Euro 2020, being the only goalkeeper yet to concede a goal at the tournament, and will be looking to maintain that form against the Germans when the two nations clash in the round-of-16. And speaking ahead of knockout tie, the Bayern Munich goalkeeper spoke highly of Pickford when revealing what he admires most about his fellow shot-stopper’s game.
Manuel Neuer said: “Jordan Pickford is a great goalkeeper. He can kick very long balls and this can be a threat to our defensive line. You have to stay very focused, especially deep. He talks a lot to his team-mates in front of him. He’s very communicative, very fast and agile. I can only say positive things about him.”
