Phil Foden has revealed Manchester City’s ruthless 4-1 win against Liverpool in January was the highlight of his season. The PFA Young Player of the Year enjoyed an excellent season at City this term, consolidating his position in the Blues’ first team with his outstanding performances and he added the Premier League and Carabao Cup to his already impressive trophy haul. He’s now reflected on his season at club level with City, though, sharing his personal highlight from another memorable campaign.
Phil Foden said: “We hadn’t won there in so long [Anfield] and I think that just gave us the confidence to push on and go on to win the league. It’s been a great season for me. I’ve enjoyed it a lot. I’m happy to have scored so many goals this year and I think I’ve made a step forward in my game. Every day he [Guardiola] has so many details to improve every player. I feel like he’s improved my game massively and I just enjoy working with him every day.”
