Tyrone Mings has revealed how he has been probing Aston Villa team-mate John McGinn for the lowdown on Liverpool defender Andy Robertson. Villa centre-back Mings is set to be in opposition to Robertson at Wembley on Friday evening when England and Scotland clash in their Euro 2020 Group D showdown.
Tyrone Mings said: “The Aston Villa-Liverpool game was certainly a memorable one. But there’s always something different about when players play for their national team, the pride and emotions that come with it as well. He is a driver in the Scotland team, he is the captain and a fantastic leader. I spoke to John McGinn about him and what he is like as a person. He is another on the long list of quality players that Scotland have.”
England won their opening game 1-0 against Croatia on Sunday, while Scotland were beaten 2-0 against the Czech Republic at Hampden the following day.
