Xherdan Shaqiri has revealed he will make a decision on his Liverpool future after Euro 2020. Shaqiri is currently part of Switzerland’s squad at this summer’s tournament and has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer.
Xherdan Shakiri said: “At the moment, I don’t really want to talk about it. I have a contract there and after the Euros, of course, I will talk to my agent. We will look at the situation and then we will decide how to proceed.”
Having drawn their opening Euro 2020 group game with Wales on Saturday, Shaqiri’s Switzerland face Italy in their next fixture on Wednesday night. Italy boss Roberto Mancini worked with Shaqiri for eight months at Inter Milan in 2015 and believes the Reds forward is one of the best playmakers in Europe.
Roberto Mancini said: “I think Xherdan is a great player. He did what he needed to do at Inter, but unfortunately, Inter were still rebuilding at that time. I think he is one of the best No 10s in Europe.”
