Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has agreed to join AS Roma. Xhaka will sign a five-year contract with Roma and the move is set to be completed soon. Arsenal are reportedly keen on a move for the Portuguese and Wolves could sanction Neves ‘ departure with £35m the figure being mentioned. Speaking about Wolves’ plans for the summer transfer window, executive chairman Jeff Shi spoke last month of the need to comply with Financial Fair Play rules this summer.
Jeff Shi said: “If the question is about whether the owner will put more money into the club, I think we have some barriers to conquer. Financial Fair Play is there, especially after we’ve lost so much revenue from the ticketing office and the stadium. In the next season, I think it will be tough for us to manipulate under the FFP rules. We have to find a way to upgrade the squad but in the meantime be careful about financial things.”
