Sergio Romero has revealed he has plenty of offers for his next club ahead of leaving Manchester United. United confirmed on Friday that Romero would be one of eight releases when contracts expire on June 30 – alongside the likes of Joel Pereira, Max Taylor and Aliou Traore – and will leave the club after six years. Now the Argentine will finally leave the club at the end of the month after United opted against taking the option for a further year in his contract, but he says that he could remain in England.
Sergio Romero said: “I was let go by United and we are working to see where I could play next. Thank God, I have several offers in Europe. The clubs who asked after me are all in Europe, so we’ll see which is the best option. It could be England or Italy, we’ll see. And if it’s Spain, that will be a new experience, but I also have to consider my daughters, who are growing up.”
