What is your assessment of that?

I thought we played very well for long periods in the game, especially the first half, I thought Brighton improved in the second half. We did not do enough in the final third, I thought our decision-making in the final third was poor but overall I thought we played very well tonight.

The performance and goal Benrahma was been waiting for I imagine?

Yes, and so have we. We have been waiting on a goal and we got one tonight. We brought him in with that in mind and I am glad he has got that first goal and hopefully he will go on and get a lot more.

You mention that the final ball was missing is Jesse Lingard someone you would like to see step up?

Jesse played really well again tonight. Jesse has played really well for us in all the games and sometimes you need someone to connect onto the chances and we made a couple of really good opportunities in the first half and we did not get them in. All credit to Brighton they got better but we all know Brighton are a good side.

You got into a lot of positions and weren’t finishing as well as you were a few games back, it is only two goals in four games now is that a little bit of a worry?

Yes, it is. The play in the final third or the final decision has not been good enough I agree with you.

Were you pleased with the character to bounce back?

If you think there has been no character shown before you are wrong because the character of this team is magnificent. The way they have gone about it and they know what they are fighting for and what they are trying to do. They have been fantastic all year and they were again tonight so we got back [into the game] because we are resilient now and we got back into it after giving away a really bad goal quite similar to the Everton goal if I am being honest and we can’t keep giving the opposition a goal. There were periods of the season where we were scoring three or four and if you looked at the way we were playing there were about three of four games when we went 3-0 up and I think tonight could have easily been another one if we had had the clinical finishing but we did not do that tonight.

What do you put the missed chances down to?

I think our decision-making too often wasn’t the right choice, or we did not show enough quality in the pass which we had to make so quite often it was the decision-making I felt.
