Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has issued an update on Anthony Martial ahead of Manchester United’s game against Aston Villa on Sunday. The Red Devils are Villa’s next opponents but Solskajer’s men have to play their second leg of the Europa League semi-final against AS Roma on Thursday night.
OleGunnar Solskjaer said: “Anthony’s looking good. He has just about started outside jogging, which is the first step on the rehab of course. He’s done most of the work in the gym and to see him out there getting some fresh air is good and hopefully we will see him before the season is out. He’s supporting the team, he wants to be a part of the final and he’s working hard to be available before that.”
Meanwhile, winger Dan James has not travelled to Italy and is ‘still out for a while’ according to Solskjaer. It was hoped defender Phil Jones would be available before the end of the season but he is still out with his recovery from a knee injury sustained in January last year.
