Christian Pulisic feels as if his Chelsea side can beat anyone that steps in their way at the moment.
Christian Pulisic said: “They didn’t make it easy on us, we knew that they had quality and we had to suffer a bit in the second-half, but in the end it was another clean sheet and a good performance. We knew it was going to be a bit uncomfortable, sometimes there’s always going to be a bit of pressure and we had to defend, be strong as a team and we did that today. They’re a good defensive side as well. We had a couple of chances, where myself included, could have done a bit better but we got the two goals so that’s a good result.”
Just a few days after Chelsea’s impressive 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid in their Round of 16 Champions League tie, a much-changed side delivered the goods once again at the weekend. Pulisic went onto explain the confidence that him and his team-mates have at the moment.
Christian Pulisic said: “We definitely have a confident bunch of guys. Obviously when we’re on a run like this, we feel really good and we feel like we can beat anyone. It’s a good feeling.”
The Blues are unbeaten in 14 games in all competitions since Thomas Tuchel took charge at the end January – and even more remarkably, his side have conceded just two goals in the process with 11 clean sheets. The USA winger showed glimpses of his brilliant best against the Blades but did not seem too happy with himself for not getting on the scoresheet.
