Jurgen Klopp is preparing Liverpool for a familiar challenge when West Brom visit Anfield on Sunday. German Klopp anticipates that Albion, now under the tutelage of Sam Allardyce, will be a different proposition to what they might’ve been had Slaven Bilic remained in charge of the club. Having watched Albion’s heavy defeat to Aston Villa back, Klopp has made comparisons to what Everton were like while Allardyce was in charge at Goodison Park.
Jurgen Klopp said “Of course, it’s tricky one, We analysed it this morning and it’s a mix of Everton when Sam was there and what I expect is a tough opponent. It’s always tough against his teams. West Brom will go for a proper fight. Sam is a specialist for this type of fight. It’s tough game. They have more information about us than we do them. Sam only had a few days before Villa, not a lot of changes. They will replace [Jake] Livermore but when we prepare we use the games they play – they play a different way against us because of our football, so it’s always tricky. If we have the ball a lot we have to create, if we lose the ball we have to be there for counter press.”
