Burnley
Burnley FC is taking a measured approach in appointing a new head coach following the departure of Scott Parker. Despite leading the club to a remarkable 100-point promotion from the Championship last year, Parker was unable to maintain Burnley’s Premier League status. With three games still remaining under interim manager Mike Jackson, the club is in no rush to make a hasty decision.
Alan Pace said: “When things don’t go your way, the things that you do will certainly tell everyone what sort of person you are and what kind of organisation you strive to be. Again, we have that opportunity. It didn’t go our way but we get to show you who we want to be.”
Alan Pace also added: “I can only look back on the time Scott has spent at the club with great respect, for both what he’s tried to do and what he has done with the team. For the love the team has for him, ourselves included, shows he’s a great man. He helped us get promoted a year ago and without him we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to be back in the Premier League. The unity of this team has been amazing and I will remember forever the things that he’s been able to do, it just didn’t work out the way we had hoped.”
Burnley is focused on ensuring their next managerial appointment aligns with the club’s long-term vision. The decision to take their time reflects a commitment to finding a candidate who can build on the foundations laid by Parker and guide the team back to the Premier League. The club’s leadership is confident that, with careful consideration and planning, they can secure a head coach who embodies the values and ambitions of Burnley FC.
