Sunderland’s upcoming Premier League matches against Everton and Arsenal have been rescheduled for television broadcast, marking the first time this season that the Black Cats will be featured on TV. The club’s initial televised appearances this season are set to include a home game against Aston Villa and an away match at Nottingham Forest. However, fans won’t have to wait long for additional coverage, as the fixtures against Everton and Arsenal have been selected for broadcast by Sky Sports.
Sunderland announced: “The club’s meeting with Everton will now take place on Monday 3 November, as David Moyes’ side travel to the Stadium of Light for an 8:00pm GMT kick-off. Arsenal will also head to Wearside later that week, with the match-up against the Gunners on Saturday 8 November now taking place at the slightly later time of 5:30pm GMT. The latest selections include fixtures taking place PL match weeks 10-13.”
In addition to the rescheduling news, Sunderland provided updates on player injuries ahead of their clash with Aston Villa. Le Fée, who missed the recent 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace due to a minor knock, is expected to be available for selection. Defender Dan Ballard is also set to return after recovering from a groin injury sustained in a previous match against Burnley. However, Luke O’Nien will require additional recovery time for a shoulder injury, with an anticipated return in one to two weeks.
Le Bris commented: “Enzo I think will probably be available. Dan should be available, as well. For Luke, I think we need another week or two.”
The selection of Sunderland’s matches against Everton and Arsenal for TV broadcast is a significant development for the club and its supporters, who have been eager to see their team featured on a larger platform. The adjustments to the schedule reflect the growing interest in Sunderland’s performance in the Premier League, especially as they prepare to face formidable opponents like Everton and Arsenal. The club’s management and fans alike will be keenly watching these matches, hoping for strong performances and positive results.
