Amex Stadium Brighton
Brighton & Hove Albion are set to enhance the fan experience at the Amex Stadium by screening as many away games as possible. This initiative comes as part of ongoing improvements at the stadium, including the introduction of safe standing in the North Stand. The club aims to offer fans more opportunities to gather and enjoy matches together, especially for popular away fixtures.
Paul Barber said: “All subject to permission from the Premier League and the broadcasters but we want to try and screen as many away games as we can. First time trying out The Terrace at the Amex! One is we sell out very quickly for away match tickets, especially the games in London and the south.”
Paul Barber continued: “And also any other games which are on a Saturday, people tend to be able to make a lot more easily than a Sunday afternoon and a Monday night. And also because people enjoy getting together to watch games. The Terrace has had seven games where we have been lucky with the weather every time. We haven’t yet had a game where we have had to close it for weather reasons. Fans seem to have taken to it really well, which is great.”
Barber added: “The North Stand safe standing has gone in and we are excited to see how fans react to that. We have also got the new store open on two levels.”
The introduction of The Terrace at the Amex has proven successful, with fans embracing the opportunity to watch games collectively. The club’s decision to screen more away games is driven by the rapid sell-out of away match tickets, particularly for fixtures in London and the south. Additionally, Saturday games are more accessible for fans, allowing them to enjoy the communal experience that The Terrace provides.
The North Stand’s new safe standing area is a significant part of the stadium’s ongoing transformation. This change aims to enhance the matchday atmosphere and accommodate more fans safely. Alongside these developments, the club has also opened a new store on two levels, further enriching the fan experience at the Amex.
Brighton’s efforts to innovate and improve the fan experience demonstrate their commitment to fostering a vibrant community atmosphere. By offering more opportunities for fans to come together, the club not only boosts its matchday appeal but also strengthens its connection with supporters.
