England striker Les Ferdinand rescued QPR with a face-saving late equalizer they barely deserved. Seven minutes from the end Ferdinand diverted a Ray Wilkins pass beyond Bryan Gunn for his fourth goal of the season.
Norwich could hardly believe it and had led twice through an own goal from Alan Mcdonald and teenager Darren Eadie, and was denied half a dozen goals by the agility of Jan Stejskal. QPR’s first equalizer came from Trevor Sinclair in the 33rd minute.
