Fulham coach Marco Silva offered his thoughts to the press following our 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
Marco Silva said: “It was not a good game I think for from both sides. We controlled the ball but we didn’t create many things and of course then we make some mistakes. Their goal came because of an offensive corner for us. You start to create doubts in ourselves and it was clear at that moment we should stop that counter-attack. Of course in the last moment we didn’t handle well the situation. We scored from a set piece that was well prepared and they executed really well. And even so, after the moment when you start leading the score we should have kept more the ball to play in our way.”
With the season coming to a close, Marco was able to reflect on what has been a positive season overall for his side.
Marco Silva said: “No one expected for us to be where we are right now. Everyone predicted for us to be the first ones to go down all the things I don’t want to repeat again. The season has been brilliant. This group of players they have been unbelievable. Their work rate, everything, what they try they do every every single day. They come with the right mindset to learn and to improve and this is the main thing. I have to congratulate them again. Of course, we haven’t finished yet but next week we can talk a little bit more but clear to congratulate them for everything they have been doing this season so far.”
