Ruben Neves insists he’ll be the “number one” Wolves fan if he does leave Molineux this summer. Asked how much he has enjoyed his spell so far at Wolves,
Ruben Neves said: “It’s an amazing club. Since I came here, the way they receive me here was amazing, the club, the city, the fans and 250 is an amazing number. I never thought I’d achieve this, so it’s really good mainly because I’ve spent five years in the Premier League, so it’s like a dream for me. It’s really special and I’m really happy for that number, but believe me I am mainly happy for the win today and for the season.”
Speaking about his love for the club,
Ruben Neves said: “I never hide that from anyone, it’s been my home now for six years almost, so really happy here. I always told I feel like home like you said, 250 games for the club is a great achievement for me, my family as well. This club gave me everything so it doesn’t matter what happens, I will always be with the club, it doesn’t matter what happens in football I think we create some special relationship when you are a long time in the club. Last season, it’s not a secret for anyone, I was almost leaving the club, and if that happens it will be really hard to take the decision. Like I told last season and I am telling you right now, it will be the same thing, it’s football. Our careers are too short until that last day of the season, after Liverpool, we need to look for ourselves and for our goals, but like you told, I will always be happy. It doesn’t matter what happened. If I go, I will be the number one fan of Wolves, I don’t hide that for anyone, it’s what I feel, I feel at home here and you never know what is going to happen. It’s so hard to think about the future, I truly don’t know. Like I told you, it doesn’t matter what happens, the club will be in my heart and I will follow the club everywhere. Who knows, If I go then I might come back again, you never know.”
