Wolves boss Steve Davis praised his players’ “excellent” response to conceding as they claimed a 1-1 draw at Brentford. Speaking after the 1-1 draw,
Steve Davis said: “I’ve spoken before about making little steps forward. Even last week when you look at what you did with the ball, I was pleased. It was what we did without it that disappointed me and I thought let ourselves down badly. We didn’t defend with any aggression or authority last week but we did (on Saturday). We got bodies in the way, big clearances and blocks. I’m pleased with how we came back. We spoke about the mentality. The confidence goes quickly when we concede, but we didn’t see that – it was a great reaction. There were players out there who wanted to go out and win the game and then defended the goal really well too. I thought the reaction was excellent and it was a fantastic goal.”
Wolves are back in Premier League action on November 5 when Brighton travel to Molineux.
