Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White believes he has “matured as a player” after his loan spell with Sheffield United last season.
Morgan Gibbs-White said: “I’ve matured as a player massively, on and off the field. Knowing when to recover, what foods to eat properly, it really does make a difference when you’re playing every week. Recovering properly, I really knuckled down on that last season. Just getting game time, it really gives you that experience that you need, knowing where the spaces are in games, finishing in front of crowds. I feel like that’s definitely improved my finishing. I’m looking to take it into next season.”
Wolves have rejected Everton’s opening bid for Gibbs-White and Lage wants to hand the playmaker a prominent role in his squad next season after his 22 goal contribution in the Championship last season. And Gibbs-White has reiterated his focus on proving his worth to the Wanderers’ boss. Asked what his main focus is during pre-season,
Morgan Gibbs-White said: “Getting back fit, trying to prove to the manager why I should be here and why I want to play every week. Mainly fitness and keeping that momentum going that I had last year. I feel like it’s going to be a big season ahead for me, personally.”
