Bruno Lage believes Wolverhampton Wanderers should have put Aston Villa to the sword after completely outclassing their West Midlands rivals in a pulsating first 45 minutes at Molineux.
Bruno Lage said: “It was the same feeling we had in the last game against Leeds. We dominated everything in the first half, with and without the ball. We created a lot of chances and should score more goals. That’s why 2-0 it’s so dangerous here, because the opponent has the ability to score goals and turn the game around. I’m happy because we won, we played the game we want to play and the game strategy was perfect for this game. But, and there’s always a but, and I’ve already talked to my players about that. I know up front we have a lot of young players, I understand with games the experience will come, but we need to have that mentality to kill the game and score the third goal. We shouldn’t give hope to the opponent.”
