Bernardo Silva insists that he would rather be in Manchester City’s position than Liverpool’s after Pep Guardiola’s side could only manage a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday evening. Speaking after the match to Sky Sports,
Bernardo Silva said: “It’s always better to win than draw the game. We wanted to win. We wanted to have an advantage of six points to Liverpool, with them one game in hand. Four points [now the difference]. They play Arsenal. We go to rest to play Southampton in the FA Cup. Nine games to go. Very difficult fixtures ahead of us. We’re going to be there. We’re going to fight as usual for the title. I’d rather be us than Liverpool, they have to come to our stadium.”
The two sides meet at the Etihad stadium in Manchester on April 10 in a game that is expected to go a long way to deciding the destination of English football’s top prize this season.
