Bissouma is currently away on international duty with Mali for the Africa Cup of Nations, but that hasn’t stopped transfer interest surfacing. The 25-year-old has 18 months left on his contract at Brighton, who are expected to be unwilling to part with Bissouma this month. Seagulls boss Graham Potter has hinted that he could be forced to sell players like his star man but insisted that he is determined to keep them at the Amex Stadium.
Graham Potter said: “I am really happy with the group we have got. I think it can get better, our team and our group. I don’t think we have reached the maximum in terms of how we are performing, so I am excited to see that continue to develop. You never know what the window brings in terms of whether anything comes from the outside, which you have to factor into, we are open to that. We are not a selling club at all, we don’t have to sell anybody. But you never know in this world so you have to be a little bit aware of that.”
