Arsenal suffered a dramatic last-gasp defeat to Manchester City on Saturday afternoon, but their display can also serve as a warning sign to Premier League rivals. That’s the message from England goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale, who has produced superb form between the sticks after signing for the Gunners during the summer transfer window. Speaking to the club’s media post-match,
Aaron Ramsdale said: “[There are] a huge amount of positives. Not too many teams have dominated Man City like that more in the first half than we did. We played really well in the second half and we need to try and get over the line in one of these big games. But at the start of the season when it’s 4-0, 5-0, Liverpool, City, this is a massive step in the right direction. We need to win one of these games, but ultimately we know we’re not challenging with them at the moment. But on this basis, if we can put those [displays] in week-in, week-out, we can be.”
