Roberto Firmino is still a huge fan of Philippe Coutinho despite his Brazilian teammate’s rather acrimonious departure from Liverpool. Both players were in fine form for Brazil during their 5-0 victory over Bolivia in Saturday’s World Cup qualifying game. Firmino netted twice, with Coutinho adding Brazil’s fifth in the big victory. Firmino clearly still enjoys playing with his former Reds teammate, too. The duo played alongside each other at Anfield for three years and have a close relationship as they continue to be national teammates – something Firmino values highly.
Roberto Firmino said “You simply can’t say that he’s not a magician. He has magical powers. He produces plays that don’t exist, that you couldn’t make up. You always have to watch replays of his plays to understand what he’s done. He’s an unbelievable player. It was a pleasure to play with him at Liverpool, and it’s a pleasure to play with him for the Selecao. I’m a huge fan of his. He’s one of the very best players in the world.”
