In many ways, it was little surprise to see Rafa Benitez being non-committal about his plans for January. With the transfer window edging ever-closer, it’s natural that pundits and supporters alike would be intrigued by the situation. Not least, of course, because of the recent changes at Goodison Park.
Rafa Benitez said: “We know more or less what we want [in January], the point is getting what you want. The transfer window is always difficult, but January is even more. We’re trying to concentrate on the games that we have now ahead, while at the same time keeping an eye on the transfer window. My main job is to concentrate on the games, that is very clear.”
