Calvert-Lewin has taken to social media, commenting on Gunners goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale’s Instagram account. “Ramboooo”, the 24-year-old’s comment read. Arsenal supporters will hope Ramsdale can use their friendship to try and convince his compatriot to join the north Londoners in the coming months after Everton boss Rafa Benitez recently hinted that the Toffees may be forced to sell a number of their best players in order to reinvest the money elsewhere.
Rafa Benitez said: “That is something we have to learn. The owner is ready to spend money but we can’t spend all the time without bringing money back in. So I think we have to be clever in the future but at the moment, at this time, we have to make sure we can bring the best out of our players. Some clubs have been selling players at the right time, and with the money they received they improved the squad.”
