Tottenham boss Antonio Conte says he doesn’t think Sergio Reguilon’s injury is a serious one following his side’s 3-0 victory over Norwich City on Sunday. The left-back was forced off after just 23 minutes in the clash, appearing to struggle just before kick-off anyhow. The Spain international could be seen rubbing his thigh just before kick-off, but was named in the starting line-up for the match anyway. Spurs move up to fifth, but injuries may be a concern heading into a busy festive fixture schedule.
Antonio Conte said: “On one hand I was a bit disappointed for Sergio, for the injury, but I spoke with him and we don’t think it’s a bad injury. On one hand I was disappointed to make the substitution. On the other hand this type of situation gives you the opportunity to see in the remainder of the game, 20 minutes from the start, Sessegnon came in and I think he played a good game. I’m sure that he can do much better and he has quality. He has quality as a player with great power, he’s strong physically and he needs to take confidence.”
