Burnley will travel to Molineux to face Wolves on Wednesday night, but will be without two key players, James Tarkowski and Ashley Westwood. The duo, who have collected five bookings each, were set to sit out Sunday’s home game against Spurs, before it was postponed due to heavy snow. Ahead of the encounter, Sean Dyche confirmed he will also be without striker Ashley Barnes due to a thigh injury.
Sean Dyche said: “Barnesy is a longer term one at the moment, we’re still not sure the timescale, but it won’t be days, it will be a few weeks we think, we’ll have to wait on him.”
The Burnley boss also delivered an update on long-term absentee Dale Stephens who underwent ankle injury in the summer.
Sean Dyche added: “He’s back on the edge of it, he feels fine, he’s training fully, he’s had 90 minutes and a couple of other moments in games. He still needs more football but he feels fine, so that’s good.”
Centre-back Nathan Collins, who has only made three appearances so far this campaign, could get the nod in the absence of Tarkowski.
