Brentford boss Thomas Frank has spoken of his admiration for Rafa Benitez and believes the Everton manager is one of the greatest in football.
Thomas Frank said: “I think Rafa is one of the greatest managers we have seen in the world. His CV speaks for itself, I think it’s incredible what he’s achieved. I admire him a lot.”
Brentford ended a run of four Premier League defeats with a 3-3 draw away to Newcastle United on Saturday, and Frank is calling on his side to defend crosses into the box better.
Thomas Frank said: “We need to defend better in duels and crosses into the box, which is something we normally do very well. It’s something we focus on and talk a lot about, especially the defensive set pieces. To be fair we’ve only conceded two lucky ones after a second ball drop. One was Tielemans (for Leicester) into the top corner and this was the first contact in the box where we’ve actually conceded in the first 12 games, so we’ve done extremely well. And the rest of the set pieces have been bang on so their first goal is a little bit random, but the rest we need to keep moving on and keep training.”
