West Ham United gave Wolverhampton Wanderers the run-around last season and Bruno Lage is looking to right those wrongs. Speaking before the game, Lage spoke of his admiration for West Ham’s midfield three of Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Pablo Fornals.
Bruno Lage said: “They close the pitch in the middle, with these three midfielders. They are very strong. It’s not me, this is what the statistics say. When they are defending, the three midfielders are very aggressive to win the ball and make good transitions. We are playing against a strong team, who are doing well – not just in the Premier League, but also in Europe – so we need to be on top like against Everton.”
