Lucas Moura has warned his Tottenham Hotspur team-mates that it’s “always a dangerous time” to come up against Manchester United as they prepare to face Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s wounded side.
Lucas Moura said “It is always a dangerous time to play against them. They are hungry because of the game against Liverpool and we are hungry because of the game against West Ham. They have very good players, they have good experience in football and they’ll know how to pass this moment. This is not our problem, it doesn’t matter the moment they have, we just need to do our best, go on the pitch and fight and do our game to get three points.”
Lucas scored the only goal of the game as Tottenham squeezed past Burnley to book their place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, and he hopes that victory could be just the springboard needed following their defeat to West Ham last weekend.
Lucas Moura said “It was a very important win, especially after the defeat against West Ham and before the game against United. The feeling was very bad against West Ham because we played well and didn’t deserve to lose, and last night the feeling was very good. We played well, it was a very good performance, we deserved to win and now we go with everything against United.”
