Newcastle United head coach Steve Bruce believes the match against Wolves could have gone ‘either way.’ Analysing his side’s performance, Bruce explained that it could have been a different outcome if his side had taken their chances to score.
Steve Bruce said “I think the big turning point was probably the big chance that we missed and at this level, you really can’t miss chances like that,. Unfortunately we’ve missed it again today like we did last week.”
Bruce also admitted that his team did not deserve to be on the losing side.
Steve Bruce said “Did we deserve to get beat? I don’t think so but unfortunately we have conceded two goals which are practically identical goals. That’s a frustration and disappointment, but like I said, apart from that there was nothing in it, it could have went either way.”
Hwang Hee-chan netted his first Premier League home goal in front of a packed Molineux, before Jeff Hendrick equalised before the break. In the end, another goal from the South Korea international meant that the Magpies would drop to the bottom of the Premier League table on three points.
