Patrick Vieira believes Connor Gallagher, will get “lots of goals” for Crystal Palace following a stellar performance against Tottenham on Saturday afternoon. Vieira recorded his first victory as Palace manager with Gallagher playing a crucial role in the club’s success. The Chelsea loanee ran his opponents ragged and his infectious energy was vital to tire the legs of a Tottenham team who had been reduced to 10 men. Gallagher also played a key role in two goals, earning a penalty when his cross was handled by Ben Davies and setting-up Odsonne Edouard’s second of the game to wrap-up a comfortable victory for Palace. Speaking after the game, Patrick Vieira was full of praise for the Chelsea loanee and made a prediction about Gallagher adding more goals to his game.
Patrick Vieira said: “He’s full of energy. He likes to get inside the box, he’s working hard with and without the ball. He loves to get round this area. I believe he’s one of the players who can get a lot of goals for us. He’s a lovely kid, his work ethic is fantastic, he comes in everyday with a smile on his face and he want to improve himself. He’s a positive player.”
