Turf Moor has been chosen to host England’s European Under-21 Championship qualifier against the Czech Republic. The fixture – the Three Lions’ fourth match in Group B – will take place on Thursday, November 11 (KO 7pm).
Burnley chairman Alan Pace said: “We are honoured to be hosting England U21s and bringing international football back to Burnley. As a club with a passion for developing young homegrown talent, I am sure our supporters will welcome the opportunity to see the country’s most exciting players at Turf Moor and get behind England in this important UEFA Under 21 Championship qualifier.”
The Clarets were due to host a qualifier between England and Turkey back in March 2020, but the game was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
