Tyler Robers has started for Rob Page’s side against Finland this afternoon, however, Leeds new boy Dan James is a notable absentee. Aaron Ramsey, Kieffer Moore, Joe Rodon, Adam Davies, David Brooks, George Thomas and Neco Williams are all absent for Wales this evening as a result of injuries, Covid-19 issues and visa problems. The Welsh squad have travelled to Helsinki for this evening’s game but James has been left out of the squad, despite travelling to Finland after completing his move to Elland Road. Boss Rob Page explained why before kick-off.
Rob Page said: “I’m really pleased for him now. He’s in the club, he’s finally got it sorted, it’s the third time they were after him. He’s at a club where he’s going to be loved and enjoy his football again and that is what we all want. He met up with us last night and he’s in good spirits, but this has just come a bit too soon for him. That’s the frustrating thing with having the window and this international come. I understand that these players want to go and sort their careers out and I’m going to back them to do that as long as it’s not to the detriment of what we want to do. For the friendly, common sense has got to prevail and I’ve allowed them to stay and sort that out.”
