Andre Gray has admitted that he could have moved abroad after leaving Watford to join Queens Park Rangers on loan. The 30-year-old striker has completed a season-long loan move to the west London side on transfer deadline day, linking up with his former manager Mark Warburton once again. Gray, who was part of Watford’s promotion-winning side last season, played for Warburton at Brentford in the 2014/15 season and he has said he is delighted to have linked up with him again. And having found his opportunities limited under Xisco Munoz at Watford so far this season, he says he is hoping to get back to playing and scoring goals.

Andre Gray said: “I am really excited. Obviously the manager had a massive part to play in it having worked with him before. I wanted to go somewhere where I can try to get back to my best and I felt this was the best option. It was an easy decision. I love playing in the Championship. I love the Tuesday night games. I was in a position where I could have gone abroad and had a nice lifestyle and enjoyed the sun, but that’s not what I wanted to do.”
