Christian Pulisic has said that Trevoh Chalobah’s dream start to Premier League life is “well deserved.” Chalobah has had an amazing week after helping Chelsea to lift the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday evening, before scoring on his top flight debut in the Blues’ 3-0 win over Crystal Palace. According to Pulisic, Chalobah’s goal, as well as his all-round performance, was testament to his hard work.
Christian Pulisic said: “Trevoh’s goal was so well deserved. He works so hard and he’s been in the team for the last few games and he’s played unbelievably, so that was the icing on the top and I’m very happy for him.”
Chalobah himself was surprised at scoring, and was thankful for the support he was shown by the Chelsea fans in the stadium.
Trevoh Chalobah said: “I couldn’t believe when the ball went in. I didn’t know it went in until the crowd cheered. It was a surreal moment.”
Although he’s not expecting to keep Thiago Silva out of the side in the long-term, it’ll be hard for Thomas Tuchel to drop him before next weekend’s huge clash with Arsenal, and Chalobah will be hungry to keep on improving if given the chance.
