Newcastle were arguably the team of the month for November 1993. They won three matches and scored 3 goals againt Oldham, 3 against Liverpool and 4 against Sheffield United. They did lose to Arsenal in a close match but ended the month fifth in the table, just four behind Arsenal at fourth with a game in hand.
