Arsenal have already brought two new players to the club this summer, but a third does not seem to be too far away. Ben White will have a medical in the coming days ahead of completing a £50million transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion, but Mikel Arteta is also looking to improve his attacking options. Tammy Abraham is reported to be of interest, with Chelsea open to the idea of selling the 23-year-old if the right offer comes along. Abraham, who has featured just seven times under Thomas Tuchel since his appointment as Blues boss in January, is reportedly valued at £40m by the west London club. Arsenal may need to offload a player or two in order to meet Chelsea’s asking price for the England international – and that has forced the Gunners into a decision. Lacazette’s future was a major talking point last season, with the Frenchman now in the latter stages of his contract, and Arteta opened up on the situation when speaking to the media in April this year.
Mikel Arteta said: “I am always happy when people talk about our players and speculate on that. It means they are doing well and getting attention from other clubs. The situation with Laca will get addressed in the summer. I will speak to him and just propose a future that we want and that’s it. Now I just want players focused and only focused on performing and getting the best out of them for the team.”
