Ainsley Maitland-Niles, the former loanee of West Brom, is wanted by as many as three Premier League clubs this summer transfer window. Despite Albion’s relegation, which was on the cards when he joined the club, Maitland-Niles did impress at times. Yet Arsenal haven’t been forthcoming in outlining their plans for the player ahead of the new season. Maitland-Niles conducted an interview recently admitting that he needed an answer from Arsenal so as to get his own future resolved as soon as possible.
Ainsley Maitland Niles said: “I want a decision. I want some clarity and then hopefully I can get to work with whoever I need to get to work with. Whether that is finding a new club or whether that is carrying on with my training. I would like some kind of indication of what is happening. Where they [Arsenal] see me. If it works out it works out, if it doesn’t then kiss Arsenal goodbye. It’s been a long journey but a proud one at that. Maybe they still want to do something and things could change. If not, there’s always other teams.”
BBC Sport is reporting that Leicester City, Southampton and Burnley are among the sides who are keen on Maitland-Niles for the right price, after his series of performances in an Albion shirt. Wolves have also previously been linked.
